Drift Test Module
Variance analysisSing a few phrases and find the keys you actually sing best in.
Set your voice's range and choose which tests to run. Then sing through melodic phrases in each key to get scores.
In private beta testing.
The process
-
Choose the phrases
Five tests: held tones, a stepwise scale, widening leaps, a fast octave run and a slow descent.
-
Calibrate your range
Sing your lowest and highest comfortable note, or input range manually. Comfortable means a note you could sing a whole song on, not your absolute floor or ceiling.
-
Sing in each key
The module plays the phrase, gives you a count in, then analyses while you sing the phrase back.
-
Read the map
Every cell prints its score showing how far off you were and whether you were flat or sharp. The total column ranks that key against the others and the map beside it names the strongest and weakest keys.
The details
Audio is analysed frame by frame and discarded. What a take leaves behind is a list of pitches, durations and scores.
No audio is recorded or uploaded.
